A special wish from a very special mouse
The Bowl2CureJM 2019 was magical. It was the culmination of so many great ideas and opportunities turned into action on the big day. We created the Bowl2CureJM as a “Fun’raiser”. It’s an event where families come together to have an amazing fun filled day raising awareness and much needed funding for The Cure JM Foundation. We are so thankful to our friends, family, sponsors and supporters for helping make the event such a great success.
This year was extra special. We knew that Liam would be granted a Make a Wish of an amazing trip to Disney World in Florida and we orchestrated an unforgettable wish reveal. As an honorary member of the Bentley Falcons football team thanks to Team Impact, we thought it would fun for Liam to make a grand entrance with his teammates while the Boston 25 News Story of Liam’s commitment to Bentley Falcons played for our event attendees.
We them transitioned to a quick speech about our journey followed by a message of support from Jim Minow, Executive Director of the The Cure JM Foundation. As Jim was wrapping up his message, another message cut in. We had hired a voice actor to play Mickey Mouse to tell Liam that he was being granted his big wish!
It was this moment that made it all over New England’s major news stations as Boston 25, Channel 7, NBC Boston and the Lexington Minuteman/Wicked Local all covered the story. We are so thankful for the media coverage and we know that we’re making a big difference in helping our Cure JM family get our stories out.
